THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AND BIOCHEMISTRY AT KENT STATE UNIVERSITY SEEKS TO FILL A TENURE-TRACK OR TENURED FACULTY POSITION IN ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY.

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: 

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL BE EXPECTED TO ESTABLISH HIGHLY PRODUCTIVE AND EXTRAMURAL FUNDED RESEARCH PROGRAMS, ENGAGE IN COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH, DIRECT THESES AND DISSERTATIONS, AND EXHIBIT A COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE IN UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE TEACHING.

Minimum Qualifications:

 QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE A PH.D. IN CHEMISTRY OR A RELATED FIELD AND POST-DOCTORAL EXPERIENCE. CANDIDATES AT THE ASSOCIATE AND FULL PROFESSOR LEVELS WOULD BE EXPECTED TO HAVE A HISTORY OF SUSTAINED EXTRAMURAL FUNDING.SALARY AND STARTUP FUNDS ARE COMPETITIVE AND COMMENSURATE WITH ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND PRIOR EXPERIENCE.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

 Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
