Basic Function:
To oversee a specific functional area of Intercollegiate Athletics. Reports to designated supervisor.

Examples of Duties:
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Oversee assigned areas of the athletic program which may include facility scheduling and maintenance, fiscal policy and procedure, events scheduling and operations, development and fund raising activities, academic and student affairs, media relations, business office operations, personnel development, marketing and promotion, and other appropriate areas.
Serve as liaison between the community and Intercollegiate Athletics; provide requested information for assigned program area.
Oversee budget development and personnel administration for assigned program area.
Maintain records and provide reports for assigned area.
Assist in ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and National Collegiate Athletics Association regulations.
Serve on various department, division, and University committees.
Leadership of a small department, unit, or major function and/or direct supervision over administrative/professional employees.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Additional Examples of Duties – if applicable:
Maintain detailed and accurate records of students' academic progress and performance.
Monitor NCAA, MAC and institutional requirements for continuing eligibility.
Meet weekly with assigned student-athletes to monitor academic performance and provide academic support.
Assist with team recruiting events for academics. Perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field; three years experience in athletics administration or related area.
License/Certification:
Knowledge Of:
Budgeting
Local, state, federal, and National Collegiate Athletics Association laws and regulations related to intercollegiate athletics
Personal computer applications
Skill In:
Written and interpersonal communication
Ability To:
Provide leadership and direction
Preferred Qualifications – if applicable:
Two years of experience in intercollegiate academic counseling specific to NCAA DI Football.
