Basic Function:
Assist Supervisor in the oversight, management, and administration of programs and functional areas within Intercollegiate Athletics. Reports to designated supervisor.
Additional Basic Function – if applicable:
To perform advising, counseling, and monitoring duties regarding the academic progress and eligibility of student athletics.Examples of Duties:
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Assist in the management of the assigned areas of the intercollegiate athletic programs, which may include facility scheduling and maintenance, fiscal responsibility, program policies and procedures, events scheduling and operation, development and fund raising activities, academic and student affairs, media relations, personnel development, marketing and promotion, and other appropriate areas.
Serve as liaison between the community and Intercollegiate Athletics; provide requested information for assigned program area.
Assist in the development of services and programs; develop and implement programs relative to assigned functional area.
Maintain records and provide reports for assigned area.
Assist in ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) regulations.
Provide functional guidance to administrative/professional employees and/or direct supervision of support staff on an ongoing basis.
May provide ongoing facilitation of consecutive projects.
Serve on various department, division, and University committees.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Two years of experience in area of specialization or assignment.
License/Certification:
Knowledge Of:
Budgeting
Local, state, federal, and NCAA laws and regulations related to intercollegiate athletics
Skill In:
Verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
Personal computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
Ability To:
Provide leadership and direction

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. May work varied hours to include evenings and weekends during peak periods; may require occasional travel on and off-campus.
