Assistant University Registrar, Systems and Compliance

Salary:
$59,075 - $64,000
Basic Function:
Provide leadership and management of the degree audit system or systems such as Banner, Cognos etc., and associated staff. Provides support to the Systems and Compliance team. Reports to Senior Associate University Registrar.

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Provide direct supervision of unclassified staff.
Manage and complete analysis and troubleshooting, of assigned systems.
Collaborate with IT staff for identification, development and testing of software upgrades, enhancements, and defect resolutions to degree audit software and other student information systems managed by the Office of the University Registrar.
Develop/maintain collaborative relationships with Division of Information Technology, other functional and academic units, and external vendors.
Conduct training for staff; update and maintain websites, user manuals, videos and training courses for advisors and students .
Assist with ad hoc reporting and compliance reporting to university, state, federal and national organizations.
Assist in the redesign of business processes, development of functional specifications and test scenarios, complete user testing and create/maintain documentation as needed for new, modified or upgraded technology and/or processes.
Maintain office production calendar and ensure critical systems and processes are student and staff ready.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience with academic programs/processes and / or curriculum processes. Must possess experience with query language.

Develop and deliver training presentations *
Self motivate and work independently and as part of a team with the ability to manage multiple assignments and projects *
Synthesize information to make recommendations and implement solutions *
Learn, retain and apply knowledge in a complex, detailed environment *
Preferred Qualifications – if applicable:
Prefer previous experience with a degree audit package, presentation software; knowledge of computerized student information systems; and previous team leader / supervisory experience.Assessments:
