$12.00 - $14.00 per hour
Basic Function:
Assist in the administration and coaching of the Kent State Cheer Team. Reports to designated supervisor.

Provide leadership for cheer team; establish coaching strategies and teaching methods to develop student athletes’ skills and teamwork; analyze team performance and adjust strategies as needed.
Coordinate practice schedule and game administration.
Recruit and retain student cheer team members.
Develop policies and procedures for student athletes and coaches.
Enforce training room and equipment room policy relative to practice clearance and issue and return of equipment and supplies.
May supervise students and/or provide functional guidance of support staff or other employees who work on a project or assignment on a temporary or intermittent basis
Perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
One year competitive cheer team coaching and/or performing experience.
License/Certification:
Knowledge Of:
NCAA and MAC rules and regulations
Skill In:
Training and/or instructing student cheerleaders/dance team members
Interpersonal communication
Ability To:
Travel frequently
Work non-traditional hours

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent must be able to demonstrate skills in a camp setting. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building and off campus frequently.
