Job Title:

Director, Athletics Revenue Generation

Physical Location:

 Kent Campus - Kent, OH

Salary:

 $55,000

Basic Function:

Work closely with internal and external constituencies to secure resources critical to promoting the Kent State Athletics department. Reports to Deputy Athletics Director, External Affairs.

Examples of Duties:

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: 

Work with athletic department constituents to coordinate strategic revenue generation opportunities.

Collaborate with marketing and communications offices to ensure timely and effective ticket campaigns.

Collaborate with the Director of Ticket Operations to support annual growth in sales.

Collaborate with the Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement (DPAE) on maintenance of Varsity K group ticket sales and new donor opportunities.

Collaborate with KSU's multi-media partner to enhance cross department opportunities for revenue growth.

Assist the Deputy Athletics Director and the Assistant Athletic Director with marketing for strategic growth in KSU Athletics brand development.

Recognize, define, and resolve routine and non-routine problems applying operating procedures, practices, and established precedents.

Represent Kent State Athletics in events and meetings related to revenue generating opportunities S

Supervise designated staff to include temporary and/or student employees engaged in activities related to revenue generation. 

Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field. Two years of sales or related experience OR the combination of education and experience equivalent to six years of sales or related experience.

License/Certification:

 

Knowledge Of:

Sales strategies Revenue growth opportunities

Skill In:

Written and interpersonal communication Customer service Desktop office computer software Raising revenue, best practices, and trends

Ability To:

Work evening and weekend hours. Travel off campus Understand and apply a variety of features in software programs, databases, and information systems

Preferred Qualifications – if applicable:

Master’s degree. Three or more years of experience in a collegiate or professional in a collegiate or professional sales setting or a related field.
