Basic Function:

Kent State University at Geauga invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, non tenure-track position in Biological Sciences beginning Fall 2025

Examples of Duties:

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: 

The teaching of Anatomy and Physiology I and II lecture and lab. These courses are heavily enrolled nursing service courses and are also available for non-majors.

The successful candidate will join two other full-time faculty members in biology that will share well-equipped teaching labs. Faculty are also part of the larger department of biological sciences across the Kent State system. The sciences on our campus work with a lab coordinator that support our teaching

Minimum Qualifications:

M.S. in Biology or related scientific discipline

         Preferred                Qualifications

      –if applicable

Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. with one to two years of demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching, including experience teaching human anatomy and physiology. Experience devising lab exercises is also a plus.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
