Basic Function:

  The Department of Management within the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Kent State University seeks qualified candidates to apply for a non-tenure-track position in Management effective August 20,  2026.

The candidate will primarily teach courses such as Advanced Professional Development, International Business, Strategy, OB/HR, or other management courses as needed and depending on the qualifications of the candidate.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have a terminal degree (PhD or DBA) in business or a management area (e.g., human resource management, organizational behavior, strategic management, international management). An earned doctoral degree in business administration with a management concentration (strategic management or international business areas) or equivalent terminal degree in the strategic management or international business areas is preferred. For candidates with a doctoral degree earned prior to May 2022, evidence of recent professional activities that allow them to maintain currency in the field is required. All-But-Dissertation (ABD) doctoral students are also encouraged to apply if they are highly likely to earn their terminal degree before Fall 2026.

In addition, evidence of effective teaching is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

 Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
