THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS WITHIN THE AMBASSADOR CRAWFORD COLLEGE OF BUSINESS AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR A TENURE TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITION IN THE FIELD OF MACROECONOMICS BEGINNING AUGUST 2024.

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: 

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO CLASSROOM TEACHING IN THE FIELD OF MACROECONOMICS AND RELATED FIELDS AT THE GRADUATE AND UNDERGRADUATE LEVEL, ADVISING AND EVALUATING STUDENTS, CONDUCTING RESEARCH, PUBLISHING IN TOP ACADEMIC JOURNALS, AND OTHER DUTIES NORMALLY ASSOCIATED WITH A TENURE-TRACK POSITION AT A R1 INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION.

Minimum Qualifications:

THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE THAT THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE COMPLETED A PH.D. DEGREE IN ECONOMICS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION, POSSESS AN OUTSTANDING RESEARCH RECORD OR SUBMIT A JOB MARKET PAPER SHOWING POTENTIAL FOR THE SAME, AND A DEMONSTRATED COMMITMENT TO HIGH QUALITY UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE TEACHING.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
