Basic Function

Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine (KSU-CPM) has an immediate, full-time clinical faculty opening in our department of podiatric and general medicine.

KSU-CPM is located in Independence, OH (suburb of Cleveland). In addition to our main campus, we offer satellite student training through the Cleveland Foot and Ankle Clinic. KSU-CPM offers competitive wage, exceptional comprehensive benefits including health, paid time off, and full retirement.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following minimum requirements to be considered for this position:

1. current licensure (DPM) in the State of Ohio (preferred) or eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio
2. Completion of a residency program
3. Board qualifications required (certification is preferred)
4. Ability to pass risk management and malpractice underwriting
5. Broad skill base to offer ongoing direct education as well as clinical training through hands-on patient care.
6. Ability to fully credentialed on private and public health health plans.

Additional Minimum Qualifications - if applicable

Preferred qualification: Current, full scope podiatric dermatology focused experience.

Expected duties: interface with students as an instructor, coordinate and manage didactic courses including syllabus development, provide classroom lectures, write exams and exam questions, provide small and large group teaching, provide patient care and student instruction in the clinical and possibly hospital setting, complete scholarly activity and research, provide service to the College including participation in College and University committees, participation in personal faculty development activities/programs, participation in various College sponsored marketing and development activities, interfacing with faculty and staff colleagues, maintain weekly on-campus office hours, develop personal recognition as a practitioner and educator, maintain state licensure and practice credentials, others.
