The Department of Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track position Assistant Professor, beginning August 2018.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

We seek scholars whose research and teaching interests are in Criminology. The department has specializations in the areas of Criminology and Deviance, Social Psychology, Medical/Mental Health, and Inequality (race/ethnicity, class and gender).
A record of publications and/or external funding is important, as is evidence of teaching success or strong teaching potential. The Department has both a group process lab and survey research lab (CATI and Web) to facilitate faculty research. The university has generous research and teaching development support programs. Physical Requirements

Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
