Basic Function:
Assist in the development of a comprehensive student leadership program which complements and supports the mission of the university and enriches the quality of student learning. Provide day-to-day support and advising to the Undergraduate Student Government, their programs, and financial allocations. Reports to Assistant Director, Student Governance or designated supervisor.

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Serve as an advisor to Undergraduate Student Government (USG), and as the primary advisor to USG's Director of Finance and Administration for the budget and funding allocation process.
Promote continuity and excellence in student leadership and organizational success.
Work with the Student Organizations Support Office to provide training to student organization officers and advisors on polices and procedures for accessing allocations and other funding mechanisms on campus.
Inform and educate student organization officers and advisors of federal, state, local, and Kent State policies, regulations, and procedures that govern student funding related matters.
Supervise graduate assistants and student employees; includes recruiting, interviewing, selecting, training, development, and evaluating graduate assistants and student employees.
Advice and support the general programmatic and contractual needs for all registered student organizations; advise and guide direct staff support to major student organizations and activities; provide support to other registered student organizations as needed or requested.
Assist with general activities and programs sponsored by the Center for Student Involvement and the Division of Student Life.
Review and update policies and procedures; prepare annual evaluations and reports.
Serve on department, division, and university committees as needed or requested by the Director and Assistant Director.
Perform related duties and assigned.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Two years of relevant experience. Must be able to work nontraditional hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
