Director, Prospect Development, Enrollment Management

Salary:

 $83,718 - $90,000

Basic Function:

Provides oversight and leadership to effectively utilize data analysis, trend analysis, and market research to guide decisions related to recruitment and marketing strategies for prospective students. Identifies national, regional, and local areas for potential growth and market expansion. Supports division needs related to data analysis, review, and presentation to various stakeholders. Reports to Vice President for Enrollment Management.

Examples of Duties:

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: 

Responsible for the implementation and execution of a comprehensive student search strategy including prospect identification and acquisition based on available vendors, resources, and predictive models. Leverage historic institutional enrollment data to ensure that a diverse funnel is developed. Consider new markets for enrollment and develop a search strategy to support increased awareness of, and
interest in, Kent State. 

Create documentation and develop methods for measuring student recruitment and retention performance; collect and analyze related data and distribute findings on a recurring basis; provide informal and formal reports and updates to senior/executive-level decision makers and other stakeholders.


Collaborate with Enrollment Management leadership to maximize the use of data in the management and monitoring of student enrollments.


Coordinate the research and data-gathering agenda for the Division, particularly as it relates to: data analysis; information dissemination; survey administration; and reporting.


Analyze large datasets, including enrollment data, demographic information, and educational trends to uncover insights relevant to high school, transfer, and graduate student recruitment.


Monitor and evaluate relevant metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment, enrollment, and marketing initiatives.


Analyze available clearinghouse, IPEDS, and market intelligence to inform the development of innovative recruitment and marketing campaigns.


Develop and present application and yield reports to train and inform recruitment staff on historical enrollment and recruitment goals.


Provide direct supervision of unclassified staff.


Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree and six years of experience in college admissions to include enrollment management and development of recruitment strategies

License/Certification:

 

Knowledge Of:

Enrollment management and recruitment strategies

Microsoft Word personal computer application including MSOffice suite and CRM systems

Enrollment data, student demographics, and educational trends

Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and data visualization techniques

Skill In:

Verbal and written communication, with the ability to present complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Monitoring and presenting recruitment metrics Performing analysis for leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making

Ability To:

Interpret complex data sets and distill insights into actionable recommendations

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships

Provide leadership and direction
