$16.24 - $16.79 (6 month rate)
Basic Function:
Receives, stores, and distributes food, supplies, and equipment; records receipt of shipments; packs orders or materials accurately for shipment. Reports to Storekeeper I, Storekeeper II, or other designated supervisor.

Examples of Duties:
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Receives shipments; loads, unloads, and moves stock; checks shipments for correct quantity and condition; stores, gathers, issues, and delivers supplies and equipment, and maintains related records; rotates stock for efficient storage; may use a hand or fork lift to move stock and load and unload vehicles.
Maintains manual and/or computerized inventory files and records; monitors inventory levels and reports low levels to supervisor; takes physical inventory count as needed.
Maintains clean and orderly storeroom; may clean and make minor repairs to University equipment; may repair and/or adjust storeroom items; maintains security of storeroom.
Answers telephone; may determine and mark price on merchandise; may relieve security guard upon request.
May drive vehicle to pick up and deliver supplies and equipment; may assist in the transfer of monies and/or serve as a courier.
May train and direct student employees or employees in a lower pay grade in storeroom procedures; may participate in training new employees.
Performs related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of six months experience working with inventory in a warehouse or stockroom.
License/Certification:
Valid Ohio driver's license with safe driving record, if driving required by position. Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with proper endorsements and safe driving record if assigned to operate vehicles regulated by Section 4506.01 of Ohio Revised Code or obtain as soon as possible with extension up to 6 months from date of hire. Positions in Food Service: Must acquire the Ohio Department of Health's Level Two certification in Food Protection during the employee's probationary period. Individuals will be subject to controlled substance/alcohol testing in positions where such is required by federal regulations.
Knowledge Of:
Inventory control
Standard procedures for alphanumeric filing
Skill In:
Interpersonal communication to effectively interact with University personnel and public in person and over the telephone (e.g., to provide information about parts or inventory, answer routine telephone inquiries)
Ability To:
Demonstrate physical dexterity and lift 75 pounds
Read (e.g., invoices, packing slips), write (e.g., record inventory), and accurately follow oral and written instructions
Perform basic mathematics (e.g., add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, decimals, and fractions, and to calculate percentages)
Gather, collate, and classify information
Maintain accurate records
Operate a computer for data entry/retrieval
Identify pairs of items that are the same or different
Operate hand and fork lift
Apply appropriate safety practices
Recognize threatening or unusual conditions and take appropriate action
Apply sanitation standards
Perform minor repairs on equipment
Work in high places

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Exposed to dirt, dust, odors, fumes, noise, heights, and variable temperatures; requires moderate physical effort to include frequent lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds (e.g., packing crates), occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds (e.g., motors, pumps, bags of flour, books), and extended periods of walking and standing; may work varied hours and shifts to include evenings, weekends, and holidays; may be called to work in emergency situations; may require on-and off-campus travel.
Working Schedule:
Wednesday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; however, schedule may vary to meet departmental needs.
