Basic Function:

The School of Teaching, Learning and Curriculum Studies at Kent State University, Stark Campus, invites applications for part-time faculty who can teach in-person on the Stark Campus teaching either Reading and Writing in Middle Childhood or Integrated Social Studies and Science in Middle Childhood beginning with the Fall 2025 semester.  Note the minimum requirements are a master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a closely related discipline and at least 3 years teaching in the necessary content area (ELA, social studies or science). It’s preferred to have the experience in grades 4-9 but other K-12 teaching experience is considered.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

 Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
