Basic Function:
The Department of Marketing & Entrepreneurship at Kent State University invites applications for a Faculty Non-tenure track (NTT) lecturer or assistant professor position in the instructional track beginning August 14, 2025. This is a continuous, renewable position with a primary emphasis on teaching. The faculty member in this position is expected to maintain currency in the field through scholarship, professional development or other qualifying professional activities.

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate level courses based on departmental needs, with a primary focus on entrepreneurship (e.g. Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial Finance, Entrepreneurial Tools and New Venture Creation) and management (e.g. Exploring Business). The candidate may be required to deliver courses in-person or online.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s in management (with a concentration in entrepreneurship, strategic management, international business, human resource management, or organizational behavior) or a related field. For candidates with a master's degree, an appointment is at the rank of NTT Lecturer.
Preference will be given to candidates with entrepreneurial experience.
Preferred Qualifications – if applicable:
Doctoral degree in management (with a concentration in entrepreneurship, strategic management, international business, human resource management, or organizational behavior) or a related field.
For candidates with a doctoral degree, an appointment is at the rank of NTT Assistant Professor.
Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in teaching entrepreneurship and management courses.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
