The Department of Marketing & Entrepreneurship at Kent State University invites applications for a Non-Tenure Track (NTT) Lecturer or Assistant Professor position in the instructional track beginning August 15, 2025. This is a continuous, renewable position with a primary emphasis on teaching. The faculty member in this position is expected to maintain currency in the field through scholarship, professional development or other qualifying professional activities.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate marketing courses based on departmental needs, with a primary focus on Sales courses within the curriculum (e.g., Professional Selling, Advanced Selling, Sales Management, Sales Internships, Competitive Sales Skills Development, and Salesforce Leadership). The candidate may be required to deliver courses in-person or online. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in sales within the corporate sector, including consulting, as well as those who have taught a variety of professional sales courses, advised students and coached them for collegiate sales competitions. The college is home to a sales lab and faculty in the sales area may participate in the lab’s activities with students and employer partners.

Minimum Qualifications:
A master’s in marketing or related field. For candidates with a master's degree, an appointment is normally at the rank of NTT Lecturer. For those candidates, at the University’s sole discretion, appointment may be at the rank of Associate Lecturer or Senior Lecturer when warranted by appropriate experience and professional contributions.
Preferred Qualifications – if applicable:
Doctoral degree in Marketing or a related field. For candidates with a doctoral degree, an appointment is at the rank of NTT Assistant Professor. For those candidates, at the University’s sole discretion, appointment may be at the rank of Associate Professor (NTT) or Professor (NTT) when warranted by appropriate experience and professional contributions.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
